Frequently asked questions
My phone only charges if I hold the cable at an angle. Port or cable?
Usually a worn or dust-clogged port. We check with a known-good cable first — if a clean and re-seat fixes it, that is the cheaper job; if the connector is worn, we replace it.
Will a charging port repair also fix data transfer to my laptop?
Yes. The same Type-C or micro-USB port carries both charge and data, so a fresh connector restores file transfer and OTG along with charging.
What if cleaning and a new port don't fix it?
Then the charging IC on the board is faulty. That is chip-level workshop work; we diagnose for free and quote before any board repair.
