Privacy Policy

Last updated May 2026. This policy explains how Lynix World collects, uses and protects your information when you book a repair or visit lynixworld.com. We operate from Chandigarh, India and comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act). What we collect

When you submit a booking we collect your name, phone or WhatsApp number, device model, selected service, issue details, city, area/PIN, urgency and preferred contact slot. We also store the page you booked from, your IP address and browser user-agent for fraud protection and analytics.

Why we collect it

We use this information only to (a) route the booking packet to WhatsApp pricing, (b) call or WhatsApp you back to confirm the booking, (c) coordinate the repair, and (d) follow up about the warranty. Booking-form details are not sent by traditional email. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.

How long we keep it

Booking records are retained for up to 24 months for warranty and accounting purposes, then deleted. Anonymised analytics data is kept longer for trend analysis.

Cookies and analytics

We use minimal first-party cookies to remember whether you've dismissed our cookie banner. We may also use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled to understand which pages help our customers most. You can block both via your browser settings.

Your rights under the DPDP Act 2023

As an Indian resident, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request erasure of your data (where retention isn't legally required)
  • Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
  • File a grievance with our Data Protection Officer (contact below)
  • Approach the Data Protection Board of India if your grievance is not resolved within 30 days

To exercise any of these rights, email service@lynixworld.com with the subject "Data request". We respond within seven working days.

Security

Booking data is stored on encrypted servers. Communication between your browser and lynixworld.com is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to the booking database and WhatsApp pricing route is restricted to authorised Lynix World staff only.

Children's data

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information, contact us and we will delete it within 48 hours.

Sharing with third parties

We share booking details only with the technician assigned to your repair, and with the courier partner if you opt for pickup-and-drop. We do not share data with marketing or advertising partners.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy materially we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
