Refund & Cancellation Policy

Short version: free diagnostics, no fix, no fee, refundable advance on big jobs, and a fair turnaround if something goes wrong. The full policy is below. For warranty terms see our bill-backed warranty page, or browse our repair FAQs for common cost and turnaround questions. Last updated May 2026.

1. The promise in one sentence

If we cannot fix your device, you pay nothing. If the same repaired fault fails inside the 3-month repair warranty, we inspect and re-do eligible repair work free. OEM/original products follow the 1-year bill-backed warranty written on the invoice. If you cancel before we open the device, you get a full refund. Three short rules — and we honour them.

2. Free diagnostics

Diagnostics is always free. We collect the device, inspect it, and send a written quote on WhatsApp. There is no obligation. If you decide not to proceed, we return the device with no fee — for pickup-and-drop jobs there is a ₹100 collection fee on repairs under ₹2,000 which is also waived if you change your mind after diagnostics. In plain terms: nothing to pay until you say yes.

3. "No fix, no fee"

If after attempting the repair we are unable to fix the device, you pay nothing. Zero labour, zero diagnostics, zero parts cost. The only exception is if a part has already been irreversibly used during the repair attempt (for example, a heat-bonded display that cannot be re-fitted) — in that case we tell you BEFORE attempting that step, in writing, and you decide whether to authorise the irreversible step. No surprises. Any final bill carries 18% GST extra unless the written quote says inclusive.

4. Cancellation by the customer

You can cancel free of charge at any point BEFORE we open the device. Just call +91 80000 02218 or message on WhatsApp with your job number.

If you cancel AFTER we have opened the device but BEFORE fitting the new part, we will charge: ₹500 for phones, ₹800 for laptops, ₹1,200 for MacBooks/iMacs (labour for diagnostics + reassembly). This is the only cancellation fee we charge.

If you cancel AFTER the new part is fitted, that's a completed repair — payment is due in full as originally quoted.

5. Cancellation by us

We reserve the right to decline a repair after diagnostics if we judge the device unrepairable, economically unviable (e.g. spare-part cost exceeds device value), or compromised in a way we cannot fix safely (heavy water damage where corrosion has spread to non-replaceable components). In every such case we return the device free of charge and explain what we found.

6. Advance payments and refunds

For motherboard-level and liquid-damage repairs above ₹15,000, we may take a 25% advance once you approve the quote. This advance is used to procure the specific parts needed. The advance is fully refundable if: (a) the part arrives faulty, (b) we discover the device is unrepairable after parts arrive, (c) you cancel before the part is fitted. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5 working days of cancellation confirmation.

7. Warranty refunds

Every repair carries a 3-month warranty from the bill date. OEM and original products/parts carry 1-year warranty where stated on the bill. Warranty claims require the original Lynix World bill or tax invoice. No bill means no warranty. If the SAME repaired fault re-occurs inside warranty:

  • First call: bring the device and bill back. We inspect and re-do eligible repair work free of charge.
  • If an OEM/original product has failed, we process it according to the warranty terms written on the bill and the supplier/manufacturer process.
  • Refunds in this case go back via the same payment method within 7 working days.

Warranty does NOT cover: no-bill claims, subsequent physical damage, liquid damage, unauthorised tampering by you or another technician, or a separate fault on a different component. Read the warranty page for full detail.

8. Refund timelines

  • Cash payments: refunded in cash same day if you walk in, or by UPI/bank transfer within 2 working days if remote.
  • UPI: reversed to the same UPI ID within 24 hours.
  • Debit / Credit card: reversed to the same card within 5 working days. Bank-side processing can add 3 to 5 more working days.
  • Net-banking: reversed to the source account within 3 working days.

9. Disputes and complaints

If you are unhappy with a repair, a refund, or our service in general: write to service@lynixworld.com with "Complaint:" in the subject line. We commit to a written response within one working day and resolution within 7 working days for most cases.

If we cannot resolve it between us, you are free to escalate to the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum at Chandigarh, the National Consumer Helpline (1800-11-4000), or the relevant ODR (Online Dispute Resolution) platform per the Consumer Protection Act 2019.

10. What this policy does not cover

This policy covers our repair service only. Third-party data, software issues caused by user actions, factory faults on parts past their manufacturer warranty, and accidental damage by you after the repair are outside its scope. If in doubt: ask before booking on WhatsApp.
